Jones Hattrick Dampens a Good Home Performance from WestSound FC Men
As the season progresses, WestSound FC Men are looking more an more unified on the field. In spite of a great performance and two goals assisted by Man of the Match, Graham Davidson a hattrick from Jordan Jones and a great performance from Vancouver Victory's attack, WestSound fell 2-4 in the first match of the double-header this weekend. The home side held the ball extremely well through the midfield and looked strong in back for the first twenty minutes of the match. Vancouver found a breakthrough before halftime and Jones capped off his hattrick in the second 45, but the visitors didn't get away with a clean sheet. A fantastic individual effort from #7 Kyle Schoales put WestSound on the scoreboard and a lovely header from Ismael Deluna gave them two goals to be proud of.

WestSound Men Earn a Point Against the League Leaders Thanks to Deluna Equalizer
WestSound Men played out a thrilling game against the visiting Bellingham United on Sunday. The visiting league leaders were outpossessed in the first half by the WestSound Men, who look more and more cohesive with every match. After the visitors kicked off, WestSound immediately got into a rhythm with their attack, Kevin Skinner, Steven Prevost and Ismael Deluna created some dangerous attacks that forced some saves from Bellingham's keeper and caused some trouble in the opposition's penalty area. The highlight of the first half was Leo Pott's fantastic shot from 20 yards out that rattled the crossbar. Composed defending from both teams and some heroic saves by WestSound keeper Jordan Hadden kept the score at 0-0 for the first half of the game. In the second half, the home team managed to maintain the speedy level of play, continuing to attack and managing to organize again when Bellingham countered. In the 59th minute, Bellingham found the breakthrough goal with a fantastic header from defender Bailey Martin that curled into the back corner of the net. WestSound were not going to be defeated easily. Just past the 70th minute of play, Graham Davidson, who scored the winner for WestSound when they traveled to Bellingham earlier in the season, found Ismael Deluna at the top of the box. The visiting keeper slid out in an attempt to stop Deluna but the ball bounced out of their collision and Deluna kept his composure and tapped it into the back of the empty net. WestSound have two tough road matches this weekend- Yakima on Friday and Spokane on Saturday. If you can't make the trip across the mountains, follow the action on our Facebook page and on the club website.
Tough Loss to a Strong Spokane Shadow
West Sound FC Men put up a good fight against the visiting Spokane Shadow, but the club from across the Cascades managed to snatch the three points at Silverdale Stadium with a 3-0 victory, including a goal from former Kitsap representative Elliot Fauske. West Sound had some good chances going forward and held strong in the midfield where #10 Cameron Stone played his way to the Man of the Match selection demonstrating strong tackles and consistency throughout his time on the pitch. West Sound will hope for another positive result against Bellingham when they welcome the league leaders this Sunday, May 25th at Silverdale Stadium.
